Testimonials for Mariner Motel in Falmouth

I stayed one week through the July 4th holiday. The owners gave helpful information on things to do and how to get to them. If there’s any problem, they solve it quickly.

I was visiting my daughter, her husband, and my grandkids. The owners let them use their nice swimming pool and park in their lot when they came to swim and when we all walked from the Mariner to the July 4th fireworks show at the harbor, nearby.

The bed and shower are very comfortable; the cable TV appeared to be brand new. There are no towel racks in the bathroom (a double hook on the bathroom door only), which seemed strange at first, but it really wasn’t a problem; you get used to tossing the used towels and washcloths on to the bathroom tile floor.

The motel is very conveniently located in downtown Falmouth (many of the motels/hotels are not; it’s near a drugstore, restaurants, Dairy Queen, Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks, and a grocery store. The room has a small refrigerator.

I was very pleased. I had hoped to find a room for $75/night or less; but, unless you get a room in a private residence (who knows what you’re getting in that situation?), one has to pay at least an average of $99 per night during the season, based on my research before I booked. Based on research and experience, the Mariner was the best choice for me.

For the past 8 years I have been spending most weekends during the summer season at what I consider to be heaven on earth! The Mariner Motel provides a family atmosphere exemplified by the Olsson family and all of their employees. Whether it be morning, noon, or night Bob and Karen Olsson will go out of their way to make every guest as comfortable as possible. The rooms are immaculate, comfortable and I look forward to spending many more seasons at the Mariner Motel.

I just got home from spending 2 nights in Falmouth at the Mariner with my young daughter and we both thought it was a great value for the money. Our room was very clean, smelled “minty fresh”, was spacious, and the pool was very nice. Wi-Fi, refrigerator. This place is not fancy, but that is not what you are looking for in this price range. Great location near downtown Falmouth and the ferry to the Vineyard, and the owners are super nice. I hope to return there.‎
